Hi, I’m Karen THOM, a Womens (RE) Connection coach
My Coaching Philosophy
You don’t need fixing.
You’re not broken.
You’re just buried under everything life’s told you to be.
This is where we do the real work the deep, grounded kind that changes how you see yourself and how you show up.
At The Foundation Studio, it’s not about being more, better, or fixed.
It’s about finally being you free, alive, unapologetic.
About Me
Over the past 15 years, I've been on a transformational journey, seeking purpose and clarity. I understand the challenges of feeling lost and unfulfilled, and I know the incredible impact that dedicated support and guidance can have. Coaching has empowered me to live a more purposeful life, and I am committed to helping others experience the same transformation.
I live in Kendal, Cumbria, on the edge of the Lake District with my husband Simon and our cockapoo, Lily Struddlepuff. Hiking with Lily each morning helps me connect with nature and meditate, followed by a perfect coffee to start my day!
My work includes one-on-one coaching and consulting in the fashion industry. I love seeing people bring their dreams to life and find inspiration in shows like "Interior Design Masterclass" and "Ted Lasso."
The happiest you'll find me is surrounded by my favorite people in a great restaurant. Living and working across cultures has deepened my passion for understanding what makes us all tick and approaching life’s experiences with curiosity.
I’ve had a successful 25-year fashion career as a buyer and supplier, thriving in fast-paced environments, developing strategies, managing teams, and growing sales in executive roles. My love for fashion started early, aspiring to be a "Businesswoman" by age 8. From unique outfits at school discos to cherished trips to Manchester's wholesale shops with my Aunt, my passion grew.
Inspired by a TV segment on fashion buyers, I pursued my dream job and spent over 20 years working with top UK & European retailers, managing budgets up to £130m, and implementing change strategies. My career has taken me across the globe—experiences I am deeply grateful for.
Now, I’m excited to leverage my diverse background to empower women in their careers and personal lives.
